Rev 'n' Blow Engine Blow-up
Competition
Sunday |
 |
 |
|
There is
$1,000 up
for grabs in the engine blow up competition. |
| Engines are run on
full rev without water in the block until they seize or blow-up.
The winner is determined by crowd enjoyment and spectacle. Engine
blow-ups are how it all started and remains one of the most popular
events. |
|
If you haven't yet seen an
engine blow-up competition, you are in for quite a treat. The
motors
will usually run for between 3 and 12 minutes before Blowing or Seizing up. |
|
|
|
So, the idea is to get an old engine and blow
it up. The harder it revs the better and the longer it runs the
better. There is quite an
art to being successful in this event, but by golly its good fun!! |
