The burn-out
competition is by far Rev-Heads most popular competition. This
goes for owners of cars with the horses to do the job and for spectators
at the show.
There is, of course,
a ladies burnout competition as well.
After you burn, you
can watch a replay in the clubrooms.
Rev-Heads 2004 had
over 130 entrants in the burn-out competition. It gets more
popular every year and with the viewing stands so close to the action -
it pumps for both drivers and spectators.
Rev-Heads burn-out
pad is easily the best because you are so damn close to the action.
With over 2,000 people watching from so close - all drivers can see are
cheering fans. If you stuff up they are unforgiving but if you rev
up big time they go off big time. Is your ride up to the job?
If you are running a blower, please
make sure it is at least restrained and try and make sure you have a
bonnet over the motor. To look
after the blower and for safety, you should always have a burst plate on
the manifold somewhere. Remember as well that if they throw a
rotor, they can send bits all over the place. We do not want to
ban blowers, but please be responsible and restrain them onto the block
and try and keep them covered. |
